Zilliqa brings the theory of sharding to practice with a protocol that aims to increase transaction rates as its network expands. Its latest experimental results demonstrate a throughput of more than 2,800 transactions per second (TPS). In addition to scalability, Zilliqa provides a smart contract layer to enable smart contract programming and verification.
