The College of Business and Law is collaborating with the RMIT Blockchain Innovation Hub to discuss the innovations that are shaping the future of finance. With rapid digital acceleration in the finance sector, we are experiencing a revolution with the emergence of decentralised finance (DeFi), crypto-currencies, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAOs).

In other words - the future of finance is upon us!

DeFi is a blockchain-based form of finance. DeFi applications (dapps) aim to recreate traditional financial systems, such as banks and exchanges, with cryptocurrency and utilising smart contracts on blockchains.
