In a bid to accelerate cryptocurrency adoption, the digital payments platform, Alchemy Pay, is gearing up to introduce virtual crypto Mastercards and Visa cards by the end of this year. 
<h2>Alchemy Pay to Launch Virtual Crypto-Linked Cards By the Year-End</h2>
As per an <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/alchemy-pay-to-launch-virtual-crypto-mastercard-and-visa-card-services-301350814.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">announcement</a> issued on Sunday, Alchemy Pay -- which pioneered the world’s first crypto-fiat payment gateway -- said that it would launch crypto-based virtual cards by the end of 2021. The company’s latest move is aimed at fostering crypto adoption in the payments sector. 

“Research shows that over US$1 billion worth of crypto-linked card transactions have been processed and is expected to continue growing rapidly in the near future,” Alchemy Pay noted in the official statement. “In an effort to further drive adoption rates, Alchemy Pay is looking to offer the virtual card services as a full suite white-label service to crypto projects and businesses as well as traditional institutions looking to integrate crypto-related solutions.”

The virtual cards would be <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/mastercard-announces-global-program-for-crypto-startups/">supported</a> by over 40 cryptocurrencies and accepted by millions of merchants on the Mastercard and Visa networks. Additionally, they would also be linkable to digital wallets such as Google Pay and Paypal.

Notably, Alchemy Pay claims that its cards would also be accepted by retailers on e-commerce behemoths Amazon and eBay.

According to Alchemy, the project has already completed development and is currently being beta-tested in multiple key markets. At this pace, the company expects to launch the service towards the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022. 
<h2>Latest development Follows Addition of High profile Investors</h2>
The news of Alchemy Pay’s virtual cards comes close on the heels of some major developments for the company. Just two days back, it was revealed that Morgan Stanley President, and COO Vikram Pandit, Checkout.com CEO Guillaume Pousaz, and former Disney Chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg were participating in Alchemy’s $80 million Series B raise. 

At the same time, Binance <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/alchemy-pay-and-binance-partners-bringing-crypto-and-fiat-integration/">revealed</a> that it had teamed up with Alchemy Pay to enable p2p crypto payments at over 2 million global merchants.

Predictably, the price of Alchemy Pay’s native token ACH is surging in response to all the positive developments. As of press time, ACH was up more than 30%  and trading at $0.12, putting the market capitalization at $370,437,752.
