The point of sale devices has been <a href="https://www.business-reporter.co.uk/2020/04/17/aurus-reaches-important-milestone-as-it-unveils-stablecoin-supported-pos-terminals/#gsc.tab=0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">launched </a>by the company behind the premier decentralized gold-backed token, Aurus Technologies.  The move is made in order to ensure Stablecoin payments and merchants settlements directly, by eliminating the middlemen (PSP) from the equation.

The launch comes right after their debit card which runs on blockchain technology, which they've launched in tandem with Tangem, a prominent company in the field of chip-to-chain technology. 

The smartphone app of Aurus and the debit card would come in handy in order to facilitate peer-to-peer AurusGold ( AWG)  payments. The debit cards offer dual functionality as its a blockchain-based crypto wallet and a acts a debit card which is fiat-backed. The system would help make payments at the merchant store and also allow the customers to access their crypto funds, as they prefer to do, they can hold it or use it as a mean of transfer.
