September 3, 2020      Jyoti Singh

On September 03, World’s largest crypto exchange, Binance, has announced its incorporation with Blockchain for Europe, a blockchain industry group in Europe.

Blockchain For Europe Appoints New Board Member

As per the report, Blockchain for Europe has appointed Teana Baker-Taylor, the UK Director at Binance, as its new board member. Now, she would be working along with Fetch.ai, Ripple, Block.one, and Blockseed Ventures.

While talking about Binance integration, Baker-Taylor, stated, “As a global leader in the digital asset industry, Binance is committed to working with policymakers to educate and support the development of informed and effective governance models which promote the overall growth of the blockchain ecosystem.”

She further stated that this integration would help Binance to know more about the companies that are part of this blockchain industry. Additionally, Baker-Taylor stated that soon the crypto exchange might announce its new collaboration with the companies, who already are the member of this European blockchain industry group, to promote blockchain technology and tokenization innovation in Europe.

‘Balanced Policy And Regulatory Governance’

The aim of this European blockchain industry group is to promote a ‘balanced policy and regulatory governance’ for the distributed ledger technology.

The report suggested that the European Union has been working on creating a certain set of rules which would help in further operations of cryptocurrencies and technologies related to it.

Further, it has been reported that in the year 2019, the Facebook Libra plan was introduced in the EU, but as it does not have some regulations for the operation of digital assets, Libra started experiencing marginal issues there. It is to be noted that in the EU only a fraction of Libra was converted into euros.

The report also mentioned that apart from Blockchain for Europe, Binance has also integrated with crypto firms and fintech associations in Britain and Australia.

The industry site CryptoCompare in its report has stated that from the past three months Binance has the eighth largest trading volume.
