Just around 90 minutes after the Ethereum launched Uniswap’s governance token, UNI, on its platform, Binance <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-immediately-lists-uniswaps-new-token-as-excitement-mounts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">listed</a> it on the exchange.

Binance, in its announcement, has stated that starting from today, one billion UNI tokens would be issued to its customers for the next four years. Out of those one billion tokens, 15 percent will be offered to traditional users of the platform. 
<h2>Distribution Of UNI Tokens</h2>
The exchange further mentioned that during this time period of four years, a total of 60 percent of the UNI tokens would be offered to community members and the remaining 40 percent would be distributed among the team members, investors and advisors. 

But as this time period is completed, the tokens’ price would drop by 2 percent annually. 

As per the official notification, “The introduction of UNI (ERC-20) serves this purpose, enabling shared community ownership and a vibrant, diverse, and dedicated governance system, which will actively guide the protocol towards the future.”

It has been reported that from September 18, the liquidity mining program will be started in which different tokens, like ETH/USDT, ETH/USDC, ETH/DAI and ETH/WBTC, on the decentralized exchange, will be targeted. And this program would be operated till November 17.

Uniswap Can Not Prepare Its Treasury

The exchange has stated that a total of five million UNI tokens would be distributed among users for each liquidity pool, which means each pool day around 83,333.33 UNI tokens would be allocated.

According to the report, until October 17, Uniswap could not prepare its treasury because of its governance project which is already live.

As soon as Uniswap’s governance gets settled, the token holders are allowed to give their opinion through votes on the distribution of UNI reserves regarding ‘strategic partnership, governance initiative and additional liquidity mining pools.’

Recently, the <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/uniswap-listed-nugs-and-nexe-tokens-make-exit-scam/">Uniswap</a> team has clarified that it will continue its non involvement in V2 protocol development and its analysis. Also, the decentralized protocol will not participate in governance directly .
