Malta-based crypto exchange firm, Binance has collaborated with major travel booking portal, TravelbyBit, for an exclusive project which will enhance a user-friendly payment system for travelers. The two global firms have joined hands to develop a digital currency-pegged travel rewards card, which will ease out crypto payments on reputable travel websites. The pre-registration process to book the TravelbyBit rewards card has commenced today.
Moreover, reports regarding the highly anticipated project stated that the TravelbyBit travel rewards card would work like a prepaid debit card. However, the card will boost additional access to more exciting discounts and offers on travel deals. The holders of the TravelbyBit reward card need to deposit cryptocurrencies like BTC, BUSD, BNB, and ONT into their cards. The loaded cards will then enable the users to book flight tickets; and make reservations in hotels through online travel portals such as Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, and Ctrip.
According to Caleb Yeoh, the CEO of TravelbyBit:
“Many businesses that accept crypto for their services charge users a high premium, which poses a significant barrier to adoption. At TravelbyBit, we want to make crypto useable, provide incentives for early adopters, and see crypto adoption grow. We are excited to work closely with Binance to bring crypto payments to travelers around the globe.”
TravelbyBit Card to Launch Early 2020
Furthermore, reports suggests that the TravelbyBit reward card project will be launched in early 2020. The project will be available to travellers in ASEAN, Australia, and Europe. However, the project aims to expand its presence to more countries in the near future.
In conclusion, back in July this year, TravelbyBit unveiled its beta application. The app allows the users to make digital payments with BTC, LTC, and BNB, to book flights and make hotel reservations. The application boosted up the traveling process by empowering clients with an easy payments network.
