The Austria-based crypto trading exchange, Bitpanda, announced the appointment of Michael Poetscher and its Chief Marketing Officer on Thursday Nov. 28. The news comes alongside the firms push to globalize their tokenization services.
Moreover, Michael is an expert in global marketing strategies with a wealth of over ten years of experience under his belt. He brings with him strengths such as communications, brand leadership, product marketing, e-commerce, and demand generation to the company. Poetscher commented on his new role:
“I was immediately drawn to Bitpanda for its commitment to tearing down the barriers to investing and bringing traditional financial products into the 21st century. My data-driven approach to marketing and customer experience will see me and the marketing team focus on scaling products and new services for 2020 and beyond.”

In addition, prior to joining Bitpanda Poetscher worked at TourRader for eight years, although he was the chief marketing officer for less than six years. Additionally, he played a big role in helping the firm secure a $50 million series C funding round. He was involved with several marketing projects during his eight years tenure. Eric Demuth, co-CEO of Bitpanda also commented on his appointment. He said:

Bitpanda Planning to go Multinational
In conclusion, the Vienna-based exchange announced its plans towards becoming a global brand. The exchange revealed its plan to launch a global assets digital exchange: Bitpanda Global Exchange. However, the new exchange platform will only serve experienced traders, professionals, and institutions. In addition, the platform will allow both crypto-to-crypto and fiat-to-crypto trading.
