Ripple Chief executive Brad Garlinghouse continues his onslaught of Bitcoin on its capability for turning into an elite payments network. Meanwhile, his company’s digital currency, XRP continues to decline in value with each passing day.

In his latest interview with the Wall Sreet Journal, Brad Garlinghouse made it quite conspicuous that he isn’t really fond of the whole idea of using Bitcoins for transactions. The irony lies in the fact that this is coming from someone who’s promoting his own centralized payment platform.

Garlinghouse, while chaffering with the host suggested that Bitcoin serves no real purpose when it comes to payments. He added :
<blockquote>“I’m bullish on BTC as a store of value, but not for payments. You don’t want to use BTC at Starbucks b/c by the time you get your coffee, it’ll be cold.”</blockquote>
Bitcoin maximalist Udi Wertheimer was left perplexed by the statement and stated that marketing and narrative are the top most essential aspects of a cryptocurrency. Bearing the geopolitical tension at the beginning of the month, its safe to conclude that the store of value point for Bitcoin is pretty apparent.

Wertheimer in his robust attack on Ripple went on to state that Ripple and Garlinghouse need to regroup itself and updates itself with new talking points in 2020, or else it’ll end up flippening Cardano.

The lack of acknowledgement on the Garlinghouse's part is baffling. He fails to grasp that Bitcoin is a perfectly good method if Lightning Network is used. It’d serve the purpose of providing rapid transactions on the Bitcoin Network.
