Cooking Mama, the game by 1st playable is surrounded by controversy right now. The rumours are in full flow that it was used to mine bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies by hijacking the console - Nintendo Switch.

The creators,1st Playable has stated that game by Nintendo released recently which runs on blockchain technology, but it is not in the way people are assuming. The developers have tweeted and categorically denied that there's any hint of shadiness from their side.

<h2>Cooking Mama Also Labels The Rumours Baseless</h2>
The official Cooking Mama account came out to squash the rumours too and stated that while the internet is loaded with rumours that the game is hideous and contains blockchain technology in a suspicious way which is causing the  Nintendo console to overheat. They also deny that they have not utilized crypto technology in the past and have no intentions to do it in the future too.

It was reported prior to its release only that Switch will be utilizing blockchain technology, which didn't create much fuss. However, when Cookstar, just a few hours later after its released perished from the Nintendo's e-shop platform, hell broke loose on Twitter and other social media platforms.

While a few voices were restricted to just the heating issue, some users thought that there's more to it than meets the eye and the console is being used for crypto mining. While Nintendo has not come out on open yet to put these rumours to bed, they've receded recently since these two platforms came out in their defence and when the code was independently analyzed.

While the Cookstar rumours are lacking substance, previously there have been instances of such malicious activities, most notably when Kobe Bryant, the legend died in a helicopter crash and one of his digital wallpaper online contained a crypto code.
