Craig Wright who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, on March 31, 2020, in his blog post stated that as a developer of Bitcoin he never wanted Wikileaks to use it. Wright in his post mentioned that Wikileaks is an anarchist, which Wright never liked.
However, an old post of Wright showed a different angle of the story. According to Wright’s July 2011 post, Wikileaks is solely responsible for not using Bitcoin.
WikiLeaks Fault To Choose PayPal Over Bitcoin
Wright mentioned that PayPal always shy away from the controversy and its a known fact, still the non-profit organization chose it (PayPal) as its provider rather than choosing Bitcoin.
The recent post of Wright is quite different from the one he posted in the year 2011 while criticizing WikiLeaks.
The post stated that it was not PayPal’s fault that it was attacked by an Anonymous and Lulzsec, but WikiLeak’s fault because it selected one of the international payment systems over Bitcoin.
Law Against Anonymous Bitcoin Users
In his recent post, Wright reported that they have been working on a law for Bitcoin, which could be used to punish those defaulters who want to use Bitcoin anonymously.
WikiLeaks has been using the currency to secure its identity.
Wright, while talking about Bitcoin in his 2011 post, mentioned, “Bit Coin (Bit Coin) is a digital currency. Bit Coin offers a full peer-to-peer currency solution. P2P transfer of funds is available using methods that can even be untraceable. They’re ways (sic) using this technology to transfer funds that cannot be intercepted or stopped”.
Presently, Wright is involved in a dispute with Dave Kleiman’s family. The trial of this multi-billion-dollar is still in Florida’s court. The case has been suspended numerous times, as the court never reaches out to any conclusion.
Wright is also somewhere responsible for extending the case because he never had given a straightforward answer to the court.
