According to an official <a href="https://anycoindirect.eu/en/blog/anycoin-direct-official-partner-of-psv-eindhoven" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">announcement</a> from Anycoin Direct, Dutch football club Philips Sport Vereniging (PSV) just signed a deal with the crypto company to have its entire sponsorship paid out in Bitcoin. This makes PSV the first club in Europe to achieve the remarkable feat, as Commercial Director PSV, Frans Janssen comments:

The cryptocurrency wallets required for facilitating payment and holding crypto have already been created, Janssen reveals.

Commenting on the significance of Bitcoin <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/united-wholesale-mortgage-will-accept-crypto-payments-by-year-end/">payments</a> for PSV, Lennert Vlemmings, COO at Anycoin said:

This is not the first time PSV has dabbled into crypto. Back in April, the club launched a non-fungible token to commemorate its historic win at the 1988 European Cup Final on Ethereum-based platform Momentible.

In March, rival competitor Southampton Football Club recently signed a sponsorship deal that includes performance bonuses paid in Bitcoin.
