It has been hectic days for Libra, at least more than normal. And, since it was announced in mid-June of this year, the future virtual currency of Facebook, has been constantly involved in a whirlwind of criticism, scandals and government measures, which seek to stop its development or at least slow it down.
However, despite the attacks, Facebook and the more than 20 world-class companies that form the<a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/?s=libra"> Libra Association</a>, do not seem to have any intention to stop. Libra is expected to be launch in the second half of 2020 and there have been quick developments regarding the coin. 
Therefore, and given a scenario in which Libra would face competition from the crypto world in the figure of the Telegram Open Network, competition from governments with the launch of virtual currencies issued by central banks, and <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/us-lawmakers-doubts-unchanged-over-facebooks-libra-even-after-the-swiss-meeting/">regulatory measures</a> to prevent its development. Facebook is forced to dialogue to overcome the obstacles that are placed on the project.
That is why, this Monday, representatives of Libra will meet in Switzerland with the Committee for Payment and Market Infrastructure (CPMI), which is part of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) based in the Swiss country, and which consists of 28 central banks that are members of the Committee, including the Bank of England and the Federal Reserve of New York.
This will be the first meeting between representatives of Libra and central banks since the announcement of the project, therefore <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facebook">Facebook</a> has the opportunity to present its virtual currency and respond to the concerns of more than 25 central banks around the world, in this way alleviate fears and pave the way for the legalization of the use of Libra in large markets.
This event becomes even more relevant when, just a few days ago, the French Minister of Finance referred to Libra in an interview with a medium of his country, stating that France was not going to allow the development of Libra in Europe.
That is why the meeting this Monday is so important for the future of the global economy, because, from the result of the meeting could change the attitude of the world's governments towards Libra.
