Solana-based <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/japanese-mobile-gaming-firm-akatsuki-announces-20m-web3-fund/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gaming</a> NFT platform Fractal is launching a non-custodial crypto wallet for web3 gamers to make the sign-up process seamless for those unfamiliar with crypto.

The new product called “Sign In with Fractal” functions as a cryptocurrency wallet for Web3 gamers both on Fractal and within partner games.

Players are able to store and trade in-game assets, buy <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/mastercard-expands-to-web3-and-nfts-with-sandbox/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NFTs</a>, and participate in Fractal tournaments without downloading a plugin or an extension. For instance, it allows users to create a non-custodial crypto wallet in a matter of moments by logging in with a Google account. This means Fractal doesn’t hold users’ NFTs or assets but splits the wallet’s private key between the user's device and Fractal’s servers.

Commenting on the product, David Wurtz, CEO of Fractal, said:

Launched in December 2021, Fractal announced $35 million in seed funding led by VC firm Andreessen Horowitz, Paradigm and <a href="https://multicoin.capital/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Multicoin Capital</a> in April. The platform has now 85 listed game projects spanning more than 120 NFT collections.
