Griid is in Talks to Merge with Adit EdTech SPAC to Go Public

Bitcoin miner Griid Infrastructure is in discussions to go public through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company. According to one of the persons, a deal with the blank-check business Adit EdTech Acquisition Corp. would value the merged organization at more than $3 billion. The terms haven't been completed, and the negotiations might yet break apart.

Griid, which claims to source low-cost, carbon-free energy to manage, develop, and run a network of Bitcoin mining operations in the United States, revealed this week that it has acquired a $525 million loan from Blockchain.com. The four-year facility will help the mining company grow capacity and scale, according to Trey Kelly, the company's founder, and CEO.
