South Korean record label, talent agency, and music production company Cube Entertainment is <a href="https://www.animocabrands.com/animoca-brands-and-cube-entertainment-form-joint-venture-for-k-pop-music-metaverse-and-nfts" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">partnering</a> with Hong-Kong based blockchain gaming firm Animoca Brands to create a “K-pop music metaverse.”

<a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/animoca-brands-raises-65-million-in-funding-round-doubles-valuation-to-2-2-billion/">Animoca Brands</a> and Cube Entertainment will be working together to create NFTs celebrating popular actors and K-pop musicians using digital sound sources, albums, portraits, and avatars, among other things. This will enable true digital property rights and other blockchain benefits for artists and their fans.

Cube Entertainment currently has 50 K-pop artists under management including Jo Kwon, BTOB, PENTAGON, CLC, (G)I-DLE, LIGHTSUM, entertainers Park Mi Sun, Lee Hwee Jae, Lee Sang Jun, Kim Kyung Ah, Heo Kyeong Hwan, and Lee Eun Ji.

The company also has actors Park Sun Young, Kim Jin Woo, Na In Woo, Moon Su In, Seoung You, and Yoo Seonho, and entertainers Kong Seo Yeong and Jung Ji Woo.

Recently, Hybe, the talent agency behind global K-pop sensation <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/nfts-are-catching-the-fancy-of-agencies-behind-bts-and-justin-bieber/">BTS</a>, invested in Korean crypto platform Dunamu where the two companies will produce NFTs featuring BTS and other Hybe artists.

Not only South Korean artists, western musicians, athletes to actors and supermodels, and other prominent celebrities have jumped on the NFT bandwagon having auctioned a dizzying array of blockchain-based assets and commodities that appeal to the digitally-savvy crowd.

Some of the famous western celebs to launch their own NFTs include Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Jay-Z, Shakira, Lewis Capaldi, Steve Aoki, Shawn Mendes, Kings of Leon, Soulja Boy, and Aphex Twin.
