Newly launched decentralized exchange McAfeeDex has launched the start of its bug bounty and Spend A Day with John McAfee initiative. The <a href="https://mcafeedex.com/">exchange</a> which is owned by software security magnate John McAfee is anticipated to change the landscape within the crypto exchange sector

In a different message to the exchange requested developers to help audit its line of code as it seeks to meet the standards of global decentralized exchanges.

The exchange also specified that it sought to build atomic swap functionality and other features that will help improve its user interface in the coming weeks.

Developers will be able to freely work on this as the smart contract and front end of the exchange are open-sourced and available on popular tech platform GitHub.

In addition, McAfeeDex revealed its unique initiative called <a href="https://medium.com/@SwitchDex/esh-trading-competition-on-mcafeedex-idex-78c82b0ec17f">ESH trading competition</a>, whereby the winner will be chosen to spend a day with John McAfee. The competition which began n October 9<sup>th</sup> is set to run until October 30<sup>th</sup>.

Some of the prizes on offer include 5ETH, 20,500 ESH, gift cards and a trip to enjoy a day with John McAfee on an undisclosed island. The offer is active for accounts with active participation on McAfeeDex exchange until the deadline day.

The address with the highest volume of trades in ESH goes home with the grand prize which includes 3 ETH, 5,000 ESH, and a $50 gift card, while the 2nd to 5th addresses by volume earn 0.5 ETH, 2,000 ESH &amp; a $20. Also, 6th to 20th addresses by volume are to receive 500 ESH.

McAfeeDex has been making the rounds in the crypto ecosystem since its launch a few days back. There have been speculations within the crypto world that the exchange could be targeted by the US Security and Exchange Commission (SEC).

This was also alluded by McAfee in a series of tweets, but the tech magnate remains unbothered as he seeks to revolutionize the crypto exchange sector.

It remains to be seen whether McAfeeDex will be able to hit the ground running in a sector dominated by <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/">popular exchanges</a> such as Binance, Bithumb, Huobi, and Coinbase.
