Samsung Electronics' <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/a-comprehensive-guide-for-bitcoin-and-blockchain/">blockchain</a> smartphones such as Galaxy S10, are ready to feature Elrond project's gaming app - "Battle of Elrond." as <a href="https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/52590/samsung-blockchain-phones-set-to-feature-elrond-projects-gaming-app?utm_source=rss&amp;utm_medium=rss">reported</a> by The Block. Elrond, a Europe based blockchain firm said that the gaming app is scheduled to be launched in Q1 of this year.

Battle of Eronld will be a mobile-based multiplayer gamer where players earn ERD [Elrond's native token] for overcoming their enemies.

Beniamin Mincu, founder and CEO of Elrond, said that the game would be "exclusively" available via the Samsung Galaxy Store, which indicated smartphones with native blockchain capabilities like Galaxy S10 and above will support the app.

Samsung and Elrond had earlier teamed up in November when the smartphone maker integrated ERD token to its blockchain wallet. The wallet also supports ether (ETH), Aergo token, and bitcoin (BTC), among others. Permitting consumers to enjoy privacy and cost reduction without the intricate blockchain-specific hassle will likely catapult adoption.
<h2><strong>Feasible Blockchain?</strong></h2>
Elrond has been claiming to target on utility and performance for its blockchain networks. The firm added its blockchain "lead1,000x betterment over existing blockchains" with "adaptive state" fragment architecture and "secure" proof-of-stake mechanism.

Elrond's mainnet, however, is yet to get fully started. According to the roadmap posted on its website, the mainnet bootstrapping will happen over three phases through 2020.

"The Battle of Elrond blockchain mechanics will be ported to our mainnet after we launch as a top priority. Until then, the ERC20 ERD token will be used as interim," Mincu told The Block.

Elrond is backed by noteworthy investors, including Binance Labs, NGC Ventures and Electric Capital. The amount that has been raised by the firm is total of $5.15 million to date - $1.9 million in private placements and $3.25million in public funding round via Binance Launchpad, added Mincu. There are a total of 30 members working for Elrond, and the firm is "always searching to add more talent" to its roster.
