Popular blockchain platform VeChain has announced today a strategic partnership with Anhui Tea Industry Association.

According to the report that was published on its <a href="https://medium.com/vechain-foundation/anhui-tea-industry-association-partners-with-vechain-to-respond-chinese-governments-call-for-89eb75c6ccb1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Medium page</a>, the partnership was signed during the General Council of Anhui Tea Industry Association held on the 3-4th of December.

VeChain further revealed that the agreement was geared towards accelerating the development of the Tea industry across the region by leverage VeChainThor technology.

VeChain was able to impress the association by presenting different use cases of its VeChainThor blockchain with regards to the tea industry.  The collaboration is thought to fit with the Chinese government's aims of bringing competitiveness to the industry via <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">blockchain</a> technology.
<h3>VeChainThor Blockchain To Be Used Comprehensively Within The Anhui Tea Industry</h3>
VeChain would deploy its technology towards creating solutions that would connect tea producers with the processing companies. It is understood that the solution would increase efficiency and productivity within the industry. In addition, there would be better transparency and traceability of the supply management chain within the tea industry in Anhui.

This according to VeChain would lead to competitiveness that would translate into increased output of production. In addition, VeChain would also be able to deploy its native token VET which can be used by locals to complete cross-border transactions at little costs.
<h3>Partnership A Huge One For VeChain</h3>
VeChain could gain enormously from the partnership due to the potentials with Anhui. The province has a population of 62 million making it the eighth-most populous province in China.

In addition, it is an important tea production region for the country with the tea industry estimated to be worth $7.1 billion.  Since many locals are involved in the tea industry VeChain can be able to introduce its blockchain solutions and crucially its VET token to potentials users.

It is understood that VeChainThor blockchain would initially be deployed to scale up for more than 600 enterprises and over 190 business owners within the Association.
