China has initiated a new law to govern cryptographic passwords. The new legislation has come shortly before the country would launch its central bank-backed digital currency, which would be ready for the market this year.
IMF Encourages Philippines Central Bank To Monitor Cross-Border Crypto Transactions
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its Technical Assistance Report Paper has urged
the Philippines Central Bank to keep a tab on crypto transactions moving outside the country. The paper published by IMF was a part of their monetary mission in Philippines, which had started back in July 2019.
Venezuela President Says Petro Will Be Used For Oil and Gold Sales
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has announced that they would use their national digital currency Petro for the sale of oil and gold produce. While Venezuela was already selling its mineral reserve including iron ore and steel against Petro, they have now decided to expand its portfolio to oil and gold.
