As eToro lists the popular meme currency, there's a rapid lift in the price of Dogecoin (DOGE) that burgeons to $0.50 the very first time. 

 

Dogecoin turns out one of the most profit-making jokes in the cryptocurrency space. The latest surge is followed by the listing of coins on eToro and its espousal from the world-known brands. 

 

The meme coin caught the eye of another US snack brand – Slim Jim. That recently tweeted “reject society, become Doge” and added a pro-DOGE hashtag.

 

Ethereum Hits New High Momentum Targets $5,200 Next

 

The second-largest currency, Ethereum shot a record new high above $3,500 on Tuesday. The ETH token has outrun Bitcoin in 2021, due to the keen interest of investors on the network. According to analysts, Ether can potentially hit $5,200 as per its historic trends. 

According to analysts at the Kraken exchange;

 

“There was a lot of momentum behind ether and that technical chart analysis suggested the cryptocurrency could rise to around $5,200 before facing another serious level of resistance.”

“Ethereum will rise in the medium term before running into more resistance. ETH’s next big test of resistance is currently at $5,240, while support resides around $2,811, ETH has plenty of room to run higher and has yet to enter into a parabolic uptrend akin to 2017 and earlier this year.” 

 

Sotheby Partners With Coinbase to Accept Digital Currencies

 

British founded American international Sotheby has declared that the leading auction house has partnered with Coinbase and will start accepting Bitcoin and Ethereum. 

 

The announcement made on Tuesday was linked with their partnership with Coinbase.

Chief Executive Officer of Sotheby, Charles F. Stewart announced that;

 

“The leading auction house will start accepting Bitcoin and Ethereum during the Tuesday broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box”. “We are really excited to make this happen. It’s something we have been thinking about for quite some time.”

 

"Art lovers will be able to bid for “Love Is in the Air,” the most famous painting by pseudonymous British street artist Banksy, with crypto next week.”

 

New York Bill Prohibits Crypto Mining Centers for Environmental Review

 

A new bill in the New York state legislature aims to prohibit crypto mining centers from operating, is pending an environmental review by the state.

 

If the bill passes in the state senate, crypto mining in New York might be subjected to a three-year hiatus.

 

Being in its earliest stages, the bill was referred to the Senate’s environment committee on May 3 and claims to be acting in accordance with New York’s “Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.”

 

The said bill would lift the moratorium only for mining facilities that “will not adversely affect” the carbon-emission benchmarks of New York state.

 

Ripple Friendly Firms To Launch Digital Banking Apps in Switzerland And Philippines

 

It has been announced that two Ripple (XRP) friendly companies are assisting in releasing digital banking apps for the customers based in Switzerland and the Philippines.

Swissquote and Temenos have started collaborations to launch separate banking apps in the Philippines and Switzerland to the local customers.

 

The Philippines Bank of Communication (PBCOM), which is definitely listed among the biggest commercial banks in the Philippines, has recently partnered with Temenos. 

 

The online trading platform Ripple and Swissquote bank located in Switzerland is planning to launch a new digital banking application together with a subsidiary of the Swiss Post that deals with the financial services.
