The capital of China, Beijing, on July 16, <a href="https://technode.com/2020/07/16/beijing-unveils-plan-for-blockchain-based-government/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">revealed</a> its plan for the administrative governance system which would be based on blockchain technology.

Beijing has decided to develop a system for digital governance, create avenues which could allow data-sharing between agencies and businesses, and also would allow cross-regional collaboration.

According to an announcement, all these processes would take place on a single platform .i.e., the national blockchain platform. Beijing has decided to become a global blockchain hub by the year 2022 and this platform is the first step towards that development.
<h2>Using Blockchain In Twelve Different Cases</h2>
The capital of China has established twelve used cases to date. The cases involve implementation of blockchain application at airports, for financing platforms to support small businesses and also general municipal and governmental services using technology to help the citizens.

As per the reports, the ports and customs would use the blockchain application to share data instantly. Currently, they use digital and paper-based alternatives to share data but it takes time.

The country would also use the blockchain solution for banking and billing purpose to provide identity certification and reimbursement tracking.
<h2>Beijing Plans To Link Blockchain With Tech Hub Cities</h2>
According to the plan revealed by Beijing, the blockchain solution would help the small and medium businesses in getting improved access to the capital for their entities and the lenders would administer the risk through the ledger.

Beijing’s plan also mentioned that over 100 government agencies would use the blockchain technology so that they could govern anything, whether it is high-tech enterprises or unemployment benefits.

Beijing in its plan has also included benefits for private companies at later stages.

The technode has mentioned, “It will also create a fund dedicated to supporting blockchain startups, a ‘talent training system’ and set up dedicated blockchain development parks.\”.

This is considered to be the biggest agenda of Beijing which also states that soon the country would link the tech hub cities of China .i.e., Shenzhen, Hainan and Hangzhou with blockchain.
