Bison Trails, a Blockchain protocol provider as well as a member of the Libra Association has secured upto $25.5 million in a series A funding round led by Blockchain Capital; in a bid to develop the firm’s i<a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/startup-creates-a-network-of-cryptocurrencies-anchored-to-some-coins/">nfrastructure</a> services.

Kleiner Perkins, Coinbase Ventures, Collaborative Fund, ConsenSys and Sound Ventures joined the latest round as fresh investors. Whereas early backers such Initialised and Galaxy Digital made follow-up investments after a seed round of $5.25 million in March.

<h2>Bison Trails: Only Infrastructure Platform in Libra</h2>
Meanwhile, Bison Trails further disclosed the terms of the financial contract. Note that the series A round;  comes after Facebook’s Libra Association included the startup among its 21 founding members in October. On the other hand, priding in its reputation as a global infrastructure service provider. CEO Joe Lallouz stated in an interview that: 
<blockquote>“As the only blockchain infrastructure firm in the Libra project, we'll contribute to building the new system with Facebook,”</blockquote>
Lallouz highlighted during the interview that it is in fact the tech giant that approached Bison Trails earlier in the course of 2019 for a role among the founding team.

<h2>Node Infrastructure:  Bottleneck to Blockchain</h2>
The New York based startup founded in 2018 implements protocols to help clients deploy participation nodes on any blockchain; without having to develop personal infrastructure, dev ops, protocol engineering competencies and security measures. According to Lallouiz, Currently, the firms serves more than 20 <a href="https://techterms.com/definition/protocol">protocol </a>projects
<blockquote>"We have become the easiest way to run infrastructure on multiple blockchains, and helped other protocols, companies and builders launch and manage distributed nodes on blockchain network,” </blockquote>
Bison Trails investors noted that they were betting on the company’s increasing utility in the infrastructure industry. Monica Desai, an Investing Partner for Kleiner Perkins said:

“Bison Trails realized early that node infrastructure would become a bottleneck to blockchain adoption, which is why they created a decentralized, user-friendly solution,”
