One of the world’s most popular soccer club FC Barcelona has announced that it would <a href="https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/fc-barcelona-token-sale-scheduled-for-next-monday-e2-per-barca-coin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">release</a> its own tokens on two platforms, i.e., Chiliz.net and Socios.com on June 22, 2020.
<h2>$BAR Token To Be Sold Via FTO </h2>
Initially, the club would distribute the $BAR token worth $2.25 through Fan Token Offering (FTO), after that, on June 22, it will organize a flash sale from 1:00 pm which will end on June 24.

The club has decided to sell 1 million $BAR to its fans on a first-come, first-served basis and the revenue generated from the sold tokens will go to the club.

After the fan receives the tokens, they can make some decisions for the team they are supporting. For example, fans with the $BAR token can decide the type of music that would be played once their favourite team.
<h2>Socios.app And Chiliz.net To Be Used For Buying Barcelona’s Token</h2>
For buying $BAR tokens at a fixed price, the bidders would have to download the Socios.com app and purchase its native token Chiliz which could be further used to get the soccer club’s token.

In its public statement, FC Barcelona Club has stated,
<blockquote> “Fans will be rewarded for every different action taken on the platform, climbing up leaderboards and receiving reward points which can be exchanged for exclusive merchandise and unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences linked to Barça”.</blockquote>
FC Barcelona is one of those Spanish clubs who lent their support to Sorare for issuing digital collectable cards to the holders.

A report states that recently, Juventus, an Italian football club, has collaborated with the Paris-based blockchain gaming company to issue the tokenized digital collectable cards of players to their fans.

Sorare was established in the year 2018, and since then is being supported by ConsenSys and Ubisoft. The platform uses the Ethereum blockchain for providing digital collectable cards to its users. The card could not only be traded but also could be used playing.
