Meanwhile, the Indian government is rumored to be considering revisions to the crypto bill, which is set to be debated in parliament during the current session.

On Cryptocurrency and Crypto Regulation, the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi has reportedly stated that cryptocurrencies should be restricted if used to harm India's sovereignty and integrity.

IANS cited Lekhi as saying at the sixth Global Technology Summit, which was jointly held by the Ministry of External Affairs and Carnegie India last week:

"If cryptocurrency is going to be used to launch cyberattacks in India, to launch other attacks on India, to do other kinds of illegal and unethical work like drug trafficking, I need to stop all that."

The cryptocurrency platforms and exchanges are run by a group of people who are seeking to evade paying taxes by transferring money out of the nation without benefiting the country where they earn this wealth," the minister stated.
<h2>Cryptocurrency Law to be Revised By Indian Government </h2>
Meanwhile, during the current session, the Indian government is reportedly considering amendments to the cryptocurrency law that is debated in the Lok Sabha, India's lower house of parliament.

On the other side, RBI has expressed some serious concerns over cryptocurrency. At the most recent central board meeting, RBI emphasized a complete ban of cryptocurrency rather than a partial ban.
