The cryptocurrency trading platform INX is planning to raise a whopping $130 million through security tokens initial coin offering (IPO) to become an all-in-one shop. The exchange is registered with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Moreover, the crypto-trading firm based in Gibraltar <a href="https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1725882/000121390019016285/ff12019_inxlimited.htm">filed a draft F-1 </a> with the American agency on Monday to signify its intention to market security tokens to retail and institutional investors through the IPO. The INX tokens are based on Ethereum’s ERC-20 standard. INX token holders will also be entitled to 40% of the firm’s net cash flow from operating activities. However, they will not become equity holders.

The firm, headed by the brother to Digital Currency Group’s founder, Alan Silbert, said that its objective is to set up two trading platforms. These will differentiate between security and non-security tokens. In addition, INX also plans to obtain necessary regulatory licenses and approvals. The licenses include money transmitter license, a U.S. broker license and subsequent registration as an alternative trading system (ATS).

At the moment, the company plans to obtain licenses to operate in 8 different American states by the end of 2019; and more states by the end of 2020 according to the shared prospectus.

<h4><strong>INX token is special</strong></h4>
Importantly, what makes sets the INX token apart from others; is the token will be registered as a security token. Other firms who have received SEC approval for their <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/zensports-to-pay-a-set-portion-of-payout-on-the-cryptocurrency-security-token-sport/">token</a> offering such as Blockstack are utility tokens.

Indeed, INX plans to utilize its token proceeds across functions such as research and development, sales and marketing, regulatory and legal purposes and product development.
