A YouTuber named Jon Prosser recently <a href="https://twitter.com/jon_prosser/status/1291145590018056192?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1291145590018056192%7Ctwgr%5E&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.imore.com%2Fyoutube-experiencing-egregious-bitcoin-hack-no-one-fixing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">informed</a> his followers and YouTube users that his channel Front Page Tech has been hacked. 

After being compromised, the channel name was changed to NASA [News] and the videos posted on the platform are now deleted, except for a live-streaming Bitcoin scam which to date has got around 48,000 views.
<h2>SIM Swap Victim</h2>
Prosser claimed that he has become a victim of a SIM swap hack. He further has informed that neither Prosser himself nor his team have been able to get access to his channel. 

It has been notified that after compromising Prosser’s YouTube Channel, the hacker has been able to make a total of $4000 in Bitcoin.

Soon, the YouTube team contacted Prosser regarding the issue but they were not much of a help to him. The team has asked Prosser to fill a form and then he would have to wait for a few weeks for the result.

From the past seven years, Prosser had been posting his videos related to Front Page Tech but all his hard work went in vain when the hacker deleted all the videos. 

Presently, his channel has been taken down by the Video-sharing platform, it took the action after hours Prosser first informed about the breach through his tweet. 
<h2>YouTube Is Not Taking Strong Action, Says Rod Breslau</h2>
On August 03, esports commentator Rod Breslau notified that recently, many of the YouTube channels have been compromised by the hackers around the world. He stated that after hacking the channel, the scammers change their account names to ‘Elon Musk NASA’, ‘SpaceX NASA’, and so on.

Breslau further mentioned that for very long he has been noticing these kinds of the breach on the platform but to date, YouTube has not taken any strong action against it.

Additionally, he stated, 
<blockquote>“From talking to YouTubers these stolen account bitcoin scams have been going on for months and way longer than the recent Twitter hack, YouTube has yet to address the problem, and they're making people wait weeks to get their account back.”</blockquote>
