Securitize <a href="https://www.securitize.io/press/santander-innoventures-mufg-and-nomura-holdings-back-securitize-in-us-14m-fundraise">announces</a> that it had managed to raise a staggering $14 million in the latest fundraiser.
<a href="https://www.securitize.io">Securitize</a>, the trusted global solution for issuing and managing compliant digital assets, said that they secured the $14M strategic fundraiser with backers that include three of the world's largest banks.

Banco Santander invested through its venture capital arm (Santander InnoVentures), MUFG via its corporate venture capital subsidiary (MUFG Innovation Partners), and Nomura Holdings was involved too.

The aim of the fundraiser is to develop Securitize's blockchain technology platform further to modernize the legacy securities industry.

The backing of these well-established financial institutions validates the influence of Securitize's technology to transform the way securities move and function in capital markets.

Securitize's Ongoing Fundraiser Efforts a Success

The latest $14 M fundraise is an extension of Securitize's Series A round and brings its total financing to upwards of $30M. Current series A investors, Blockchain Capital, SPiCE VC, and SeedRocket4Founders also took part in this latest round.

American-based blockchain group Algo VC and the Tezos Foundation also took part in the fundraiser round. Tezos plans to work further with Securitize on the Tezos blockchain, following the proposed investment.

The investment shows an increasing enthusiasm in Asia for digital assets with participants, including KDDI Open Innovation Fund, the venture branch of KDDI, which is one of the leading telecommunications companies in Japan.

Other participants included 31 Ventures, the innovation arm of Mitsui Fudosan, one of the world's major real estate developers from Japan, Hong Kong blockchain VC firm Kenetic Capital and the first China-based venture capital firm exclusively dedicated to blockchain, Fenbushi Capital.
