<h2><b>TBCASoft and SoftBank Along With IBM Announce a Blockchain for Mobile Payments</b><b> </b></h2>
<div dir="auto">On 22nd of October, Blockchain forum, TBCASoft, and SoftBank along with Tech giant, IBM announced a partnership. And this collaboration is to establish a cross-carrier blockchain payment solution for telecom corporations.</div>
<h3><b>New Cross-Carrier Blockchain Payment System</b><b> </b></h3>
<div dir="auto">A<a href="https://twitter.com/graftnetwork?lang=en">s per the news release</a>, the partnership intends to allow the carrier to utilize the leverage distributed ledger technology (DLT) via Carrier Blockchain Study Group (CBSG).  That the TBCASoft, Sprint and SoftBank established in 2017. Purportedly, TBASoft already established a cross-carrier blockchain along with the collaboration of 18 participants. And some of the use cases are cross-border payments, digital identity, and telecom supply chain that the network intends to support in. CBSG has established the cross-carrier payments system (CCPS). CCPS intends to allow the mobile service users to use their phone for the transaction with local merchants across the border. Also, the telecom carriers provide over-the-top (OTT) payments solution where the transactions with a mobile wallet are adjusted in the customer's monthly telecom bill. Establisher and CEO at TBCASoft, Ling Wu stated:</div>

<p dir="auto">Reportedly, CCPS aims to optimize transaction records between different telecom carriers.  While SoftBank is the first to develop CCPS and also intends to initiate the payment system in Tokyo by 2020. Previously, Ledger Insights noted on the adoption of CCPS by TBCASoft and SoftBank. Besides, TBCASoft intends to use the IBM blockchain platform in its product stack. IBM's blockchain platform is unique in such a way that it can be used with enormous cloud supporting systems. IBM's blockchain solution is founded on the open-source HyperLedger Fabric protocol.</p>

<div dir="auto">A significant feature of CCPS is that it supports turning the existing OTT payment networks to a blockchain. This diminishes the entry requisites for the mobile carrier as well as merchants' network and helps in triggering the adoption.</div>
<h3>More Collaborations to Come</h3>
<div dir="auto">Moreover, previously in the current year, SoftBank and TBCASoft announced the initiation of the Identification and Authentication Working Group under the leadership of two companies.</div>
