It appears that the scammer who has hacked the Twitter accounts of various celebrities on July 15, is incorporating the stolen funds to an address which earlier has sent money to BitPay and Coinbase.

A blockchain analytics company Whitestream <a href="https://twitter.com/whitestream5/status/1283674132211695616?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">published</a> a report that states that an address name “1Ai5” processed three transactions which were accepted by a wallet that is linked with Coinbase and BitPay.
<h2>“1Ai5” Hackers Orginal Address </h2>
The hackers released this “1Ai5” address earlier, but later they changed it with Bech32 address for targeting the non-crypto accounts.

But now the hackers have made the original address as the consolidation point to accept the funds they have generated from attack. The address has now received 14.75 BTC worth around $135,000.

Now it is being assumed that the three transactions processed by the hacker have been sent to Coinbase and Bitpay.

The first transaction took place in May 2020, the hacker transfer 1.2 BTC whose worth at that time was around $11,000. The other two transactions were made just two days before the hacking took place and it is to be noted that the hackers transferred a small amount of BTC.
<h2>Difficult To Trace Merchant Usage Transactions</h2>
As per the report, the latter transactions are considered to much more advanced than the earlier one because for the second and third transactions the address was changed, which makes it difficult for anyone to trace the BTC. Although, it could be said that hacker was planning to change the original address with Bech32.

Whitestream in its report has mentioned that when the hacker processed the first transaction, it sent a small number of funds to the address which is linked with BitPay, and while making the other two transactions, the hacker used the address associated with Coinbase.

The companies who have exposed their identities could possibly trace the hackers’ address. But the recent transactions by the hacker is related to merchant usage, therefore, it could be a bit difficult to trace address during the investigation.
