Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volume, has announced a $10 million donation to Ukraine through its Binance Charity Foundation.

The donation will help support displaced children and families in Ukraine and its neighboring countries and will be split between major intergovernmental organizations and nonprofit organizations including UNICEF, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, iSans, and People in Need.

In addition, the platform has also launched a crypto-first crowdfunding site, called Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund to allow people to donate in cryptocurrencies. The fund is dedicated to helping provide emergency relief to refugees and children and to supporting logistics on the ground such as food, fuel, and supplies for refugees. The <a href="https://explorer.binance.org/tx/0CF1948FB5189C924ED718242F73006B70797EDC5CB3518B0D523599249CA802" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Ukraine Emergency Fund</a> has already raised over $6 million in donations.

Similarly, FTX’s founder, Sam Bankman Fried also announced on donated $25 worth of cryptocurrency to each user in Ukraine following the Ukraine-Russian crisis.
<h2><strong>Crypto Donations Pour in </strong><strong>Ukraine </strong></h2>
Ukraine continues to record a significant inflow of crypto donations. According to <a href="https://www.elliptic.co/blog/live-updates-millions-in-crypto-crowdfunded-for-the-ukrainian-military" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">data</a> provided by blockchain analytics firm Elliptic, the Ukrainian government and NGOs have raised a total of $17.2 million in crypto donations with Binance adding another $10 million in crypto, raising the total to $27.2 million.

The country’s official Twitter account also asked for crypto donations. In fact, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, has confirmed that the call for crypto donations was real and asked people to “Stand with Ukraine.”
