The volume of Bitcoin Futures Options on Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has grown from 91 BTC worth $860,000 to 2400 BTC worth $23 million. In just two months the volume of Bitcoin Futures Options has <a href="https://twitter.com/skewdotcom/status/1272799874346598401?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1272799874346598401&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcryptobriefing.com%2Fbitcoins-institutional-interest-ramps-up-cme-btc-options-volume-go-25x%2F" target="_blank" rel="noopener">increased</a> 25 times.
<h2>Conditions Required To Trade Bitcoin Future Contracts</h2>
The Bitcoin futures which could be bought and sold by the investors are different from the Bitcoin futures options on CME.

The report explains, “CME options on bitcoin futures give the buyer of a call/put the right to buy/sell one bitcoin futures contract at a specified strike price at some future date”.

On the other hand, if the investors of Bitcoin futures contracts want to trade the contracts then they will have to do it under certain conditions or on certain dates.

From the past two months, the demand for CME Bitcoin options has been growing rapidly. One of the reasons behind this popularity is its services, only very few mainstream markets provide the same kind of services to its customers.

CME’s Tim McCourt recently has mentioned that as the economic uncertainty is increasing, the interest of investors towards CME is also growing.

Even in an interview, McCourt specified that the CME contracts allow its investors to express their views and help them in dealing with the risk.
<h2>Bitcoin Futures Options Is New On CME</h2>
On January 13, 2020, the CME introduced the Bitcoin futures options in the market and as it was the new service for the investors, therefore, it took time to attract them.

Other than CME, a DeFi crypto exchange Deribit also provides the services of Bitcoin futures and options to the investors. In fact, in May 2020, the value of Bitcoin futures options on the exchange reached $1 billion and dominated the market by a large margin.

In April, Binance also started issuing Bitcoin Options to the investors, but there are some services which do not support futures and options.

One of those services is CBOE, which in June 2019, stopped issuing Bitcoin futures and BitMEX considered that introducing options on the platform would be a great challenge for it.

Due to some difficulties, the Hegic has ceased intermittently for a time being.

Although some services are not supporting Bitcoin futures and Bitcoin futures options, still their demand in the market is fairly high.
