Bogotá Government Starts New Technology Courses, Including Blockchain

A series of free online courses which covers a large range of new technologies content, including blockchain, has been launched in Bogotá city of Colombia on April 27, 2020.

Mayor’s Office of Bogotá Sponsor Course

The Bogotá Aprende TIC program has been sponsored by the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá. The purpose of this program is to increase innovation and create a path to the future of new technologies in the city.

The students who would register themselves in the course will learn about cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain and many more technologies.

At the initial level, the course would help students to the meaning of Blockchain, then will learn about its advantages and disadvantages.

The blockchain course would explain in which areas the people used this technology most. The students would also learn about blockchain’s entry into the financial market, Bitcoin’s use in the crypto sphere and lastly, the course will describe students the impact of blockchain in digital industry companies during their transformation process.

At the next level of the course, the students would be given detailed information about the operations and applications of blockchain.

The Mayor of Bogotá mentioned that the potential of blockchain technology is still unexplored.

Course For People Of Bogotá 

The four-weeks blockchain-related course introduced by the Bogotá government does not have a deadline for registration, any person who wants to enrol themselves for this course could join online.

The main target of this program is the people of Bogotá, whose age is more than 14 years, but they can enrol themselves in the course from any part of the world as it is entirely an online course.

On April 28, 2020, at 10:00 AM, the Bogotá’s Chamber of Commerce would organize a webinar on Fintech challenges and opportunities.

Earlier the government had decided to hold an on-site conference, but as the whole world is fighting with COVID-19, therefore, the Bogotá government re-scheduled it as an online meeting.
