The Philippine Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) along with Union Bank of the Philippines and Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX) to <a href="https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/innovation/philippines-launches-bond-distribution-platform-on-blockchain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">introduce</a> a platform based on decentralized technology to offer retail treasury bonds.
<h2>Investors Can Buy Retail Bonds From Bond.PH At Minimum $100</h2>
The app called Bonds.PH has been launched on July 27. With the help of this app, the investors could purchase the retail treasury bonds for a minimum of $100 and they are allowed to pay through e-wallets, online banking and over-the-counter (OTC).

While talking about Bond.PH the Philippine National Treasurer Rosalia V. De Leon stated, “The launch of Bonds.PH paves the way for all Filipinos, particularly the unbanked, to easily and aﬀordably invest in the BTr’s newest retail treasury bond, RTB-24 or the Progreso Bonds.”

She further mentioned that the new mobile app has brought an opportunity for people so that they could invest in bonds. The app would also help the Republic in raising funds for economic recovery and COVID-19 response. 
<h2>Singaporean Market Regulators Backs Bond.PH</h2>
It is to be noted that the transaction processed via the platform would be recorded in DLT infrastructure and also on the centralized system.

The President and CEO of UnionBank, Edwin R. Bautista, believes that for the first time in Asia and probable in the world, a DLT-based system has been introduced to offer retail treasury bond.

The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Singaporean market regulators and other blockchain and fintech associations have come forward to support the newly launched Bond.PH.

Sopnnedu Mohanty, the chief fintech officer at MAS, has recently stated that in the year 2020, the blockchain technologies would get commercialized in the ASEAN region. He further stated that BTr has been working on the DLT-based system for offering the bond and this would accelerate blockchain’s success in the market.

Additionally, it has been mentioned that along with the Philippines, the blockchain community in Singapore would work on this blockchain technology so that they could share their views on it and help each other in connecting corresponding nodes to link infrastructure of the market for transparency.
