Dutch online brokerage platform, DUX has <a href="https://www.altfi.com/article/8681_bux-shifts-into-crypto-investing" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">enabled</a> cryptocurrency trading on its flagship platform, BUX Zero. The new service will only be available to its clients in the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, and Spain in a selection of more than 20 cryptocurrencies in addition to stocks and ETFs on the app.

Known for offering zero-commission trading services with traditional financial instruments, BUX will also offer commission-free trading services for cryptocurrency investments. Interestingly, the company was already offering crypto trading under a separate platform called BUX Crypto since April 2020. But now, both BUX Crypto and BUX Zero offer crypto trading with the former on zero-commission.

Commenting on the development, BUX Chief Executive Officer, Yorick Naeff, stated:

“Bitcoin  and cryptocurrencies offer innovative solutions that may prove to become a new way of hedging against a global economic crisis as well as disrupting old economic models that no longer serve the modern investor,” Naeff added.

BUX Zero launched in the Netherlands in 2019 is designed for both the experienced investor as well as newbies with zero-commission services. The Amsterdam-based brokerage platform undertook a whopping $80 million funding last year. Earlier this month, BUX became the first stockbroker in the Netherlands to offer fractional share trading to retail investors.
