Cone One North America, CONA, the largest bottling company of Coca Cola based in the U.S. will be using the Baseline Protocol. This step has been taken to simply enhance the transparency of the supply chain. 

It has been <a href="https://medium.com/unibrightio/baselining-the-north-america-coca-cola-bottling-supply-chain-f87539220269" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">announced</a> that CONA will partner with the DLT firms and the Baseline Protocol for this project. This will also allow streamlined transactions between the internal bottle suppliers and external suppliers of raw materials.
<h2>CONA planning to expand the use of blockchain technology </h2>
Unibright, the founding member of Baseline Protocol has announced that CONA is planning to expand the use of blockchain technology. The firm will be increasing the use of blockchain across the complete supply chain. 

According to the announcement, around 12 Coca-Cola bottlers have started using the blockchain platform for the supply chain management. This step has been taken to simply improve the efficiency and transparency of the supply chain. 

In this new project, CONA will be trying out the use of DLT in the external supply chain as well. The announcement also specified that there will be a deployment of the Baseline Protocol for DeFi and asset token use cases.
<h2>Mainnet will be used as middleware</h2>
It has been specified that in order to create an integrated private network, the data will be baselined to the ETH mainnet. Baselining has been explained as a technique that will use ETH mainnet which will work towards maintaining consistency. 

In order to verify the authenticity of the data, mainnet will be used as a ‘middleware’. Along with this, zero-knowledge proofs will be used to ensure the security and privacy of the network and the data. Even though any date has not been finalized yet when this project will be completed but the initial results might be out by the fourth quarter of 2020.
