Major cryptocurrency <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/coinbase-acquires-indias-ai-powered-customer-support-platform-agara/">exchange</a> Coinbase has signed a four-year partnership with one of the biggest esports and gaming organizations Team Liquid. Over the next four years, the two companies will be collaborating on multiple projects that will result in the “developing of technology that will elevate the overall user experience.”

According to an official <a href="https://www.teamliquid.com/news/2021/11/10/team-liquid-coinbase-look-to-a-limitless-future" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">announcement</a> on Wednesday, the partnership between Team Liquid and Coinbase is based on ‘creating and delivering content that resonates with fans and will see collaboration in a variety of ways.

One such instance of collaboration includes the integration of crypto-based payment integration within the official online store of the esports gaming company’s Liquid+ community platform.

The additional agreement includes the logo of Coinbase to be featured on the jerseys of Team Liquid. At the same time, Team Liquid will feature the exchange platform’s content across their platform while the crypto exchange will help Team Liquid develop its own non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Founded in 2000, Team Liquid has over 100 gamers competing in esports gaming titles including Fortnite, League of Legends and Valorant. Commenting on the partnership, Team Liquid’s co-CEO Steve Arhancet, said:

Coinbase has collaborated with a number of other esports organizations and championships. This year alone, the cryptocurrency exchange has partnered with esports organizations like Evil Geniuses and BIG including tournament operators ESL and BLAST.

The partnership between Coinbase and Team Liquid is not the first collaboration between a crypto and esports company. In June, FTX and Team SoloMid partnered in a 10-year deal valued at $210 million. Another such collaboration includes <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/crypto-com-partners-with-matt-damon-to-support-clean-water-initiative-for-all/">Crypto.com</a> and Fanatic which is worth $10 million.
