Australian crypto exchange BTC Markets has partnered with Mastercard to allow its customers to make direct debit, prepaid, or credit card payments to purchase cryptocurrencies directly from the platform.

BTC Markets is a crypto exchange with over 325,000 Australian clients and AU$19 billion in traded digital assets. Focused on the Australian market, users can deposit and withdraw Aussie dollars without any trading fees.

Currently, twenty-five tradable pairs are available with support for retail and institutional investors. In addition to crypto trading, users also have the option to stake supported cryptos.

Commenting on the development, BTC Markets CEO Caroline Bowler said:

<h2><strong>Mastercard Brings Crypto Onto Its Network</strong></h2>
Earlier last year, Mastercard partnered with CoinJar to launch one of the country’s first crypto payment cards backed by an Australian crypto exchange. The payments company also expanded its crypto-linked credit cards across the Asia Pacific region in partnerships with Amber Group and Bitkub of Thailand.

In January, Mastercard partnered with US-based crypto exchange Coinbase to allow users to make purchases on the Coinbase NFT marketplace.
