e-commerce giant eBay has launched its first-ever NFT collection in partnership with OneOf, a green NFT platform for communities across music, sports, and lifestyle. The partnership combines eBay's global reach and OneOf's eco-conscious Web3 technology.

eBay's first Genesis NFT Collection will feature 3D and animated interpretations of athletes featured on sports illustrated covers over the years. The NFTs were minted on Ethereum scaling platform Polygon, and can be put up for reselling on the OneOf marketplace.

<h2><strong>First NFT Drop Includes Former Canadian Ice Hockey Player Wayne Gretzky</strong></h2>
The <a href="https://www.ebay.com/e/sports-fan-shop/wayne-gretzky-oneof-nft" target="_blank" rel="noopener">first drop</a> of the NFT collection is already available for purchase on eBay. It features animated Sports Illustrated covers of the former record-breaking Canadian ice hockey player Wayne Gretzky.

The collection includes 13 limited-edition digital collectibles such as green, gold, platinum, and diamond-tier NFTs. Starting at $10, the NFTs contain a 3D rendering or animation of Gretzky making a signature move on the ice. However, the limited edition diamond, platinum, and gold tiers worth $1,500, $100, and $25 per piece have already sold out. eBay plans to drop additional collections featuring more athletes throughout the year.
