In a recent development at Twitter, Parag Agrawal – <a href="https://twitter.com/paraga/status/1511320953598357505?s=20&amp;t=faex_yvhAvEbM54PCGc3bw">CEO announced</a> that Elon will be joining as a board member of the company.

As per reports, Elon bought 9.2% shares of the social media giant Twitter for USD 3 billion, which is more than double the position of Jack Dorsey (co-founder of Twitter). Besides, Elon has also continuously promoted cryptocurrencies on Twitter over recent months, especially Dogecoin. The news of Elon joining the Twitter board was also taken positively by the Dogecoin community, which saw the coin rallying up to a 30% gain in a month.

Doge currently stands at <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the US $0.1513 on CoinMarketCap</a> at the time of writing this article. “It is wishful thinking of the Dogecoin community. If anything, being a board member of the company will only make it hard for Elon to express his views on Twitter, as he has been doing over the years. He can face more scrutiny from the regulatory bodies.”

After the news, Elon organized a poll on Twitter for it to be open-source and have an edit button. While Elon’s term as a Class II Director of the company ends in 2024, it may be interesting to see what may be achieved in reality.
