The crypto derivatives market Huobi Futures will be introducing Bitcoin (BTC) options on its platform for trading on September 01 at 10:00 UTC, as per the official <a href="https://support.hbfile.net/hc/en-us/articles/900002340866" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announcement</a> by the exchnage.

It is to be noted that a few months ago, the Huobi Group launched the Huobi Futures’ Perpetual Swaps for its traders.

<h2>BTC Options Similar To Traditional Markets Options</h2>
The BTC options, which would soon be introduced by Huobi, would be akin to options in the traditional financial markets. 

The new derivatives product of Huobi would allow its customer to purchase or sell it at any price and date. It is not important for users to sell or purchase BTC options at a given price and date.

According to the announcement, the options buyers are allowed to purchase or sell the assets at a particular price on the expiration date. If the buyer exercises the options, then the sellers would have to operate as their counterpart. 

Recently, while talking about the new BTC options on the Huobi Futures platform, the Vice President of Global Business at Huobi Group, Ciara Sun, stated, “As investors brace for prolonged economic uncertainty across global financial markets, the influx of institutional capital and other forms of ‘smart money’ into digital assets like Bitcoin are driving a surge in demand for more diverse trading products.”
<h2>Delivery Price Of Huobi’s BTC Option</h2>
Sun further stated that currently, there is a huge demand for options products in the market, therefore, the Huobi decided to introduce its own. Huobi’s new additions would be offering more sophisticated trading strategies in the market.

It is to be noted that the options product on the Huobi platform is a different version of the options contract which basically is a European Options.

As soon as the options expire, the exchange considers the last hour index price of the product to be its delivery price.
