KB24, the <a href="https://kb24.com/#rsvp">former official website</a> of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, has announced a roadmap for an <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/the-era-of-definft-has-come-asia-nft-and-defi-conference-concludes-successfully/">NFT art</a> collection honoring the sports star. The project will mint 10,000 NFTs featuring Bryant’s greatest moments and donate all proceeds to the Mamba and Mambacita Foundation.

Kobe Bryant’s official website, KB24, has returned online after a 4-year hiatus with an NFT collection dedicated to the sports star. The project is being helmed by Kobe’s lifelong fans Andy Treys and Sako Waves, who announced a 10-step roadmap for the collectibles recently. 

Following its revelation, the KB24 collection has garnered significant attention on the internet. According to one report, the website received 7,000 reservations within 24 hours of the announcement. 

As Kobe’s official website, KB24 enabled the sports icon to engage with his fans and share information since 2006. However, after his retirement in 2016, the website changed several hands and redirected visitors to malicious pages. It was finally purchased by KB24’s team a few months ago. 

“We grew up on the site. We wanted to keep it forever, just like a signed Kobe jersey or <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/basketball-brand-slam-enters-partnership-with-autograph-nft-platform/">basketball</a>, but in this case, there is only one KB24.com,” the KB24 team said in its open letter. 

Speaking about the ongoing work at KB24, its founder Andy explained:

“We have so many people on board helping us bring the KB24 NFT project to fruition, and everyone is happy donating their time and resources without asking for anything in return. It really shows how much impact Kobe Bryant had on everyone’s lives. We’re excited to share more information on everyone else helping with the project as we get closer to launch."
<h2>KB24 Sales Could Fetch Nearly $50 Million</h2>
According to KB24’s website, the project has been designed with a focus on charity. Therefore, all the proceeds generated from NFT sales will be diverted to the Mamba and Mambacita Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to sponsoring underserved communities in sports. 

It is expected that this revenue could be as high as $50 million, making it one of the biggest donations of its kind.
