According to an <a href="https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001317474/000089843221000599/a497k.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Aug. 11 filing</a> with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, New York-based private investment firm Neuberger Berman, which manages $402 billion in assets, its Commodity Strategy Fund approved investors with indirect exposure to cryptocurrencies and digital assets via Bitcoin <a href="https://www.nb.com/en/global/insights/insights-the-bitcoin-experiment">(BTC)</a> and Ether (ETH) futures, as well as Bitcoin trusts and exchange-traded funds, or ETFs. 

The fund intends to get Bitcoin and Ethereum exposure through a subsidiary, according to the filing.

According to an Aug. 11 filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, New York-based private investment firm Neuberger Berman, which manages $402 billion in assets, has approved its commodity-focused fund the right to participate in regulated <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/hodlers-gather-more-bitcoin-as-transactions-above-1m-skyrocket/">Bitcoin</a> and Ethereum futures through a subsidiary.

In addition to derivatives, the Neuberger Berman Commodity Strategy Fund will be able to get indirect exposure to Bitcoin and Ethereum through investment vehicles like trusts and exchange-traded funds.

The fund's AUM is $164 million, with <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/gold-prices-plunge-below-1700-oz-yet-bitcoin-holds-strong/">gold</a> accounting for 7.9% of its holdings, followed by maize (7.0%) and heating oil (6.6%).
<h2>Steve Eisman Dismissed Bitcoin</h2>
Notably, Neuberger Berman's managing director, Steve Eisman, has previously rejected Bitcoin.

In May 2018, he argued that Bitcoin had "no use" and that valuing it was impossible:
“You're buying and selling something that can't be measured.”
As previously reported, Eisman also stated that he opted not to invest in Bitcoin in January because he did not comprehend it:
“Steven Eisman does nothing with the massive Bitcoin. I keep out of it... I don't get it. I'm not sure how to appreciate it.”
The investor gained recognition after successfully betting against the housing bubble in the United States in 2007 and benefiting from the subsequent fall in 2008.
