According to a report, Peter Sagan, a bicycle professional from Slovakia, has been targeted by an online crypto scam. The professional has been forced to refuse his engagement in the crypto scam publicly.
On Wednesday, Sagan issued a statement in which he offered a link to an article in which he was shown like he endorsed the scheme that could probably make anyone a millionaire within 3 to 4 months.
I categorically deny having any involvement, in any form, in what is mentioned in this article. I have never been in contact with any of the persons or companies mentioned and any allegation to the contrary is false. https://t.co/3togFYhKZ8

What The Article Claimed About Sagan
The article claimed that Sagan appeared on a tv show to explain the advantages of the crypto trading platform and then highlighted what it pretended to be an ‘exclusive’ interview with the Bora-Hansgrohe rider.
The article was published on a malicious website, and it seemed to be a news site, where links could direct you to the sign-up page for a crypto platform.
Sagan through his social media categorically denied having any connection with what the article mentioned. He added that he had never contacted any of the companies or individuals mentioned and any accusation to the contrary was false.
Many Of The Celebrities Have Become Victim Of Such Crypto Scam
In recent years, there have been several scams related to digital currency with $4 billion washed by cybercriminals in 2019. Many of the frauds involved attracting people toward what appeared like genuine trading platforms to gain access to their fund.
Several celebrities have been manipulated to make it seem like a prominent personality in society has supported the product, and Sagan became the most recent example.
After Sagan issued his refusal in public, he could have sued for losses if the personalities behind the cryptocurrency scam could be recognised.
Before heading to Colombia, the Slovakian professional made his seasonal appearance at the Vuelta a San Juan. On March 7 at Strade Bianche, Sagan would be racing for the first time in Europe.
