Majority of investors in the Telegram Open Network (TON) and $1.7 billion Gram token have <a href="https://www.forbes.ru/tehnologii/386003-investory-ton-soglasilis-ne-trebovat-nazad-vlozhennye-v-proekt-durova-dengi">decided</a> against the return of their investment.

Moreover, two sources close to the Telegram team confirmed that a majority vote, including investors in both rounds of the offering; agreed to postponement of the TON network until April 30 and to uphold their funds in the project.

As previously reported, TON’s anticipated launch on October 31; was delayed due to an abrupt intervention from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); which claims its 2018 token offering as illegal. Telegram had an agreement with investors that if it failed to launch the platform on the pledged date; they would be eligible for a refund of their investment.

Additionally, October 23 was the deadline for investors to decide on whether to demand a 77% refund of their investment. Telegram had sent a proposal to wait or to otherwise return a portion of their funds a week after SEC halted the launch of TON and Gram’s.

Now that Telegram has investors endorsement assured; the firm can now spend $80 million of the $1.7 billion ahead of April. Reports claim the investor’s decision will be made official on 24<sup>th</sup> October.
<h2>Telegram to Face Court Hearing in February</h2>
Furthermore, the messaging giants will face a court<a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/u-s-house-financial-services-committee-to-hold-hearing-next-week/"> hearing</a> scheduled for 18-19 February. Telegram will seek a court ruling on the argument that Gram is not a security. On October 21 the firm sent another letter to the investors; claiming that the postponement of the hearing from October as a positive development.
