Major music label company Universal Music Group has announced the formation of a metaverse music band KINGSHIP consisting of four characters from the NFT project the <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/founders-of-bored-ape-yacht-club-collaborate-with-guy-oseary/">Bored Ape Yacht Club</a> owned by collector Jimmy “j1mmy” McNelis.

Universal Music Group Label 10:22 PM has <a href="https://www.universalmusic.com/1022pm-forms-kingship-the-first-ever-group-consisting-of-nft-characters-from-bored-ape-yacht-club/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">announced</a> the formation of KINGSHIP, an NFT music group made up of characters from the NFT project the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

KINGSHIP consists of a Mutant Ape and three Bored Ape characters, including rare Golden Fur and Bluebeam Apes. Owners of Bored Ape and Mutant will have early access to the group’s NFT releases as well as provide input on the group’s narrative selection.

The metaverse band will develop original music for the band to perform in the virtual world as the online metaverse grows and evolves. Additional perks include releasing NFTs which can be used for exclusive access to events, virtual-reality appearances, and live performances. This represents a shift in the new generation of artists, fans, and community engagement.

10:22 PM will create backstories for the apes and eventually sell NFT performances, providing buyers with unique musical experiences. Founder of 10:22 PM, Celine Joshua who also formed KINGSHIP, stated:
