In an AMA on Twitter, co-founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin let 248 people he followed ask him anything related to crypto or non-crypto. Among the many questions answered, including his biggest regret during the Ethereum journey.
<h2><strong>Vitalik Buterin Reveals Biggest Regret in Ethereum Journey</strong></h2>
In a recent Twitter AMA, Vitalik Buterin answered questions ranging from love, philosophy, online privacy, cryptocurrencies, and game theory among others.

One of the questions put forward to him was what his biggest non-technical regret was with Ethereum. To which Buterin <a href="https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1433245736641040384">replied</a> “The whole '8 cofounders' thing (and choosing them so quickly and non discriminately.)”

Adding in a response to a similar question, Buterin said:
<blockquote><em>“People are harder to tightly coordinate in small groups than I expected. You can’t just get everyone to sit around in a circle, see each other’s inherent goodness and get along, especially when huge incentive conflicts are at play.”</em></blockquote>
Of Ethereum's eight co-founders, only Vitalik Buterin is still actively working on the blockchain platform. <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/cardano-founder-charles-hoskinson-says-crypto-will-be-essential-to-afghani-fight-against-taliban/">Charles Hoskinson</a> and Gavin Wood have started rival blockchains Cardano and Polkadot respectively.

Mihai Alisie and Joeseph Lubin have started companies to help build Ethereum's application and community layers, while Anthony Di Iorio, Amir Chetrit, and Jeffrey Wilcke left to focus on other industries.
<h2><strong>Ethereum Depends Less on Buterin</strong></h2>
Vitalik Buterin and Gavin Wood are deemed as the original <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/vitalik-buterin-wants-dogecoin-switching-to-pos-using-ethereum-code/">founders</a> of the Ethereum project, with the other co-founders coming on to the project later on. At the time, there was a big debate over whether Ethereum should be a for-profit corporation or a non-profit. The co-founders could not seem to agree on this issue, eventually leading to the exit of Charles Hoskinson from the group.

Despite being Ethereum’s lead developer, Buterin pointed out that the blockchain has never needed him less.
