A community council made up of prominent Ape collectors has been put together by <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/yuga-labs-inappropriately-induced-the-community-to-buy-bayc-nfts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yuga Labs</a>, the company that created the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) non-fungible token (NFT) collection, to assist it in expanding its Web3 presence. In a <a href="https://yuga.com/blog/bayc-community-council/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">blog post</a> published on Wednesday, the business shared the news.

The blog post stated that this council was founded to embrace the club in its entirety and give a new channel of insight, establishing a more official, effective, and regular procedure for Yuga management to collect community opinions and recommendations on an ongoing basis.
<h2>Yuga Labs Seven Community Council Members</h2>
Josh Ong, Sera, Laura Rod, 0xEthan, 0xWave, Negi, and Peter Fang are the seven members of the council. They are all Web3 business owners and veteran Bored Ape owners. According to Yuga Labs, the council would develop over time.

The council's main objective would be to support Web3 activities within the Bored Ape community. Yuga suggested charitable activities, meetings, and commercial goods as potential applications for the council to support.

According to Yuga Labs, the council members were selected based on their past achievements in construction and community-led projects. The information came after Yuga Labs formally granted owners of CryptoPunks and Meebits access to their <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/yuga-labs-releases-ip-licensing-agreement-for-cryptopunks-and-meebits/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">intellectual property (IP) rights</a>. The corporation had previously given the owners of those specific NFT collections access to the BAYC/MAYC IP rights. In addition, Yuga Labs just unveiled a new trailer for the future project and released the Otherside metaverse whitepaper.
<h2>ApeCoin Foundation's Special Council</h2>
The project is comparable to the ApeCoin Foundation's special council, a team of Bored Ape holders appointed to help oversee applications and grants for the principal cryptocurrency of the Yuga Labs ecosystem, <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/magic-eden-submits-proposal-to-apecoin-dao-for-building-a-marketplace/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ApeCoin</a>. Yuga claimed this would not be the final NFT council it would form to help expand its portfolio of businesses.
