<strong>Zhejiang China's Province Processes Nearly $6 Million With DLT Medical Billing Platform</strong>

With a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW-MxnPnx80">blockchain medical billing platform</a>, province of China, Zheijiang had processed approx $6 million using Ant Financial' blockchain. The Chinese publication, QNSB released a report on Nov 18 on this exclusive news. The blockchain-powered platform enables people to make appointments from the doctors, get prescriptions. Besides, the platform allows to pay, record and store medical bills online.

Zheijiang Provincial Department of Finance made an announcement at the local blockchain event on Nov 18. In the announcement, it stated the platform had nearly 480 medical institutes all over the province as of Oct 28. The official stated that the platform processed 41.7 billion yuan which makes nearly $5.9 million as of October.

Ant blockchain has powered the platform, a technology that <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/alibaba-denies-partnership-with-lolli/">Alibaba's</a> subordinate company, Ant Financial has developed.
<h3>Platform Boosts To Increase the Insurance Payout By 96 Times</h3>
The platform was structured to minimize the time span for issuance and verification of medical papers. It has also increased the pace of insurance payouts by 96 times. As per the report, the platform has reduced the insurance claims procedures from 12 days to three hours.

Reportedly, the platform was tested successfully in Zheijiang's Taizhou city in 2018. Initiated in partnership with 11 local comprehensive hospitals, the pilot minimized the pre-patient visit time span from 170 minutes to 75 minutes.
<h3>Alipay and Ant Financial Facilitates the Platform</h3>
As per the report by Asia Crypto, Alipay, the virtual payment facilitator of the Chinese e-commerce company, Alibaba, collaborated with private authorities to fulfill the pilot. Reportedly, Alipay offered its Alipay payment service to the province. On the other side, Ant Financial was facilitating with blockchain technology.

Reportedly, in the mid of November, Ant Financial initiated piloting its enterprise blockchain platform. The platform aims to back small and medium-sized businesses by making them reduce costs and spread their reach.
