Bithumb Crypto Exchange Served With $69 Million Tax Notice

Bithumb, a leading South Korean crypto exchange, has been served with a tax notice of $69.3 million by the National Tax Service (NTS). Vidente Co., a major stakeholder in Bit humb, confirmed the taxation. The NTS alleges that Bit humb failed to withhold taxes of foreign customers and the income generated from these international clients have been
deemed as miscellaneous income.
33 Billion TRX: Tron’s New Year’s Gift to its Crypto Community

Virgil Griffith, the Ethereum foundation’s research scientist who had been arrested for helping North Korea evade US sanctions using blockchain and cryptocurrency, has been released just before the new year kicks in. Vitalik Buterin had signed a petition for his release even though Ethereum had announced after his arrest that he was no longer associated with the foundation.

Bitcoin scammers in Singapore have found a new way of evading police cases by asking victims to purchase Bitcoin from Bitcoin Machines. The victims, who were led into believing that the scammer is in dire need of money, then sent these Bitcoins to the scammers’ accounts.
